COURSE SCHEDULE

COURSE OBJECTIVE

By the end of the course, the participants would be able to recognize the safety & health hazards in shipyard work, know the preventive measures to be adopted, and the importance of observing safety signs and safe work procedures. The course also aims to educate workers on their rights and responsibilities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
 1.  Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
 2.  Identify various hazards in a shipyard like Fire, Explosion, Chemicals…etc
 3.  Recognize all types of industrial safety signs
 4.  Put on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
 5.  Take safety precautions when working with different hazards – include other hazards such as Heat stroke, Infectious diseases, Ergonomics, …etc
 6.  Respond in case of fire or emergency

The shipyard supervisors safety course is a mandatory training course for individuals those who are to undertake the role of a supervisor in the marine industry.
