COURSE SCHEDULE

COURSE OBJECTIVE

Riggers Course is aimed at providing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a safe and proper slinging and control manoeuvre for lifting of materials and equipment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
 1.  Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
 2.  Identify occupational hazards and take safety precautions
 3.  Recognize all types of industrial safety signs
 4.  Knowledge about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
 5.  Take safety precautions in occupational health hazards
 6.  Respond in case of fire or emergency
WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The course would be appropriate for individuals assigned as Rigger in the workplace. This course is suitable for all personnel in the following industries — Building & Construction, Marine, Engineering, Shipping and Logistics.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Workplace literacy and numeracy Level 2 or equivalent At least six month relevant industrial experience

Only those who have passed the Signalmen course can attend the Riggers course as per the MOM guidelines.

Must be over 18 years of age

The trainees should be able to read and understand the English language.

Please note that it is COMPULSORY for trainees to wear safety shoes

VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE

The certificate that is issued to a successful participant for the course is valid for life long.
