COURSE SCHEDULE

COURSE OBJECTIVE

By the end of the course, the participants would be able to gain required knowledge to eensure that the work which the person oversees or supervises can be carried out safely in the Construction Industry

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
 1.  Explain the safety and health duties and responsibilities of a Building Supervisor
 2.  Explain salient WSH legislations for worksites
 3.  Identify job hazards and apply control measures for a construction site including working at height, demolition, excavation, piling, fire, mechanical & electrical, material handling and occupational health hazards
 4.  Assist in carrying out risk assessment for construction activities
 5.  Conduct safety inspections
 6.  Identify the causes of accidents and recommend preventive measures
 7.  Conduct investigation and prepare an incident report
 8.  Explain the 14 elements of WSH Management System and key features of SS506 and OHSAS18001
WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Construction site supervisors & foreman, clerk of works and site engineers; or Engineering graduates or individuals with diploma qualifications and above who wish to work in the construction industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

WPLN level 4 and above, or equivalent.

The trainees should be able to read and understand the English language.

VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE

The certificate and ID card that is issued to a successful participant for the course is valid for life long.
